Cool spot

The platform game, the cool spot is a video game released in the year 1994. In the game, the player plays the role of Cool spot who is a rabbit’s foot for the 7 Up company.
The player or Cool spot can skip, hop and attack the enemies by targeting them with the bubbles of soda. Along with this, the player can climb and get attached to the several things of the game simply by jumping in their front. In all the stages, the player needs to gain authority over the various cool spots that have a similar appearance. As the game progresses, the player is required to gather several cool spots, which are placed in all the levels. The amount of the cool spots varies in each level.
Furthermore, there is a monitor (face of the Cool spot) which checks on the health of the player constantly. If there is any loss in the health of the player or the player become weak, the face of the cool spot bends in the forward direction. Moreover, if the player loses much from his health, the face eventually falls down. The health of the player reduces or gets damaged when he comes in contact with the enemies, obstacles, or projectiles. Along with this, each level of the game consists of a time limit.
The player cannot save the game. However, there are certain checkpoints, which appear as flagpoles. Furthermore, when the player becomes successful in gathering the sufficient amount of cool spots, he can go in the stage of bonus. Along with this, the player needs to gather all the letters, which are hidden in the various stages to make the word ‘Virgin’, or ‘Uncola’.

Richard Branson expanded his Virgin business into computer games in the early 80s, initially concentrating on the ZX Spectrum. Within a few years they had an impressive roster of licenses, such as many Taito arcade games and UK publishing of Synergistic titles. The company bought out Mastertronic in 1989, briefly using the name for reissues and Virgin Mastertronic for full-price titles. In 1993 they became Virgin Interactive Entertainment, before eventually working with Electronic Arts. Ultimately they were bought by Titus as a subsidiary and the name Virgin Interactive Entertainment was used until April 2003. The name was changed to Avalon Interactive in May 2003 and it was responsible for the European distribution of the group's games.
