The sheep... fluffy, white fellow - usually found anywhere near tasty grass. Its distant relative the electronic sheep - or esheep as it's referred to most of the time - on the other hand is usually found in a slightly different environment: Windows operating systems. Also keeping one of these is a lot less expensive and timeconsuming than herding real sheep. So if you ever thought about getting yourself a sheep and didn't because of these downpoints here is your chance to make a big change in your life: Get yourself an electronic pet, get yourself an esheep!

The esheep doesn't need your attention (it might get it anyway, but that's beside the point). It will happily run around your screen, jump around, hang from windows or play with other esheeps you might have. There's no limit to how many you can have at the same time, but it might make sense to stop somewhere below a dozen of them as it might get slightly irritating to have them running around and over everything you're working on.

Esheep is of course total and complete nonsense. It's not even a real game. Your actions are very limited. You can pick up the sheep and drop them elsewhere, that's pretty much it. They're doing their thing just as they want to, you can't tell them what to do. This “game” won't keep you entertained for long. It's funny when you launch them for the first time and it might also be funny to put one or two of these in the Autostartfolder of an unexpecting colleague or friend but it's unlikely that you will be “playing” this one for years or anything like that. Still, I stumbled upon this many years ago and just found it sitting on my harddisk again - so I thought I'd share it with you.
