"Similar to Shanghai, and also based on Mah Jongg, Sarakon stands head and shoulders above most of its contemporaries - in terms of difficulty at least. A 16x16 squared grid forms the basis, Square tablets each with a variety of symbols are placed randomly on the grid. The idea - as with many card games - is to combine and discard pairs of tablets until the grid is cleared. However, tactical play adds complexity.
