Defender of the Crown (EGA) from the Strategy genre was created by Cinemaware in 1987 and is free for you to download.

Description

This is the EGA version of my favourite game. Conquer England with you as leader. Seek conquests over pieces of land. Raid and besiege castles. Or host a game of joust, just for fame or for real land.
The more land, the more income you'll have, with which you buy your army. soldiers, knights and catapults.

I used to play this game back in the day on my C64 with my 1541 disc drive - Never played the PC version and not sure if I can but I’m about to give it a blast !

My favourite too. Now I’d say computer opposition might have been a bit more intelligent but back in the days this was truly amazing stuff!!! $\"^O^\"$
