Description
Hillsfar is another fine RPG from Strategic Simulations and of course an official AD&D game.
In this game you can create a new character at the beginning of the game or import one from Pool of Radiance or Curse of the Azure Bonds.
One good thing about the game is the fact you finally see where you are walking in a town, by using the map with nice little houses. Enter dungeons, sewers, break into houses by lock picking, etc.

It’s a game with many little quests, although I think the final quest involves dealing with the castle. (It’s been a while since I played it.) Each quest is dependent upon the character chosen, so you can play multiple times and get different quests. Of course the real goal is to level up the characters for use in the Gold Box games. Because you’re only playing one character, it’s somewhat unique in the course of the early D&D games. | |
