Welcome to the Abandonware Network!
What is this site? To use one of those loathed buzzwords: a 'portal'. A portal to everything 'Abandonware' encompasses. You can find lots of nostalgia, meet people, many of which would probably be classified as 'geeks' or 'nerds' and download many of those old games which you remember from the old days.
Why build a 'network' of such sites then? 'Scenes' of a certain size require a basic amount of organisation. For the common visitor, it's nearly impossible to keep track of every single site. For the webmasters, the different services of the 'community sites' (like this one) have been spread thin.
This is what the Abandonware Network is trying to provide a solution for: Offer the best services of their respective kind via the same 'framework' or, if you prefer another term, 'infrastructure'. The sites in our network have proven themselves to be most reliable and to be run by dedicated and stable crews. There are many different services to discover here, most of which are for the benefit of both seasoned webmasters and new visitors. Browse around, and see for yourself.
We hope you enjoy your stay!
